Lang Co accommodation ranges from one international resort to a cluster of budget guesthouses in the town centre. The town is small enough that all options are within 10 minutes of both beach and lagoon.
Resort option
Vedana Lagoon Resort and Spa: The main upscale property in the area, set on the lagoon with overwater bungalows and a pool. A peaceful location with lagoon and mountain views. β«2,500,000β6,000,000 ($100β240). The best option in the Lang Co area for a resort experience.
Lang Co Beach Resort: The established mid-range resort on the beachfront. Standard resort facilities, pool, beach access. β«1,000,000β2,500,000 ($40β100).
Mid-range and budget
Guesthouses in town: Several family-run guesthouses on the main road through the peninsula. Private rooms with air-con from β«250,000β500,000 ($10β20). Basic but functional for transit visitors.
Truong Son Xanh Hotel: Mid-range local hotel with clean rooms and direct access to both the beach road and the lagoon. β«400,000β800,000 ($16β32).
Practical notes
Transit visitors: Many travellers stop in Lang Co for one night between Hue and Da Nang. For this purpose, a budget guesthouse covers the need well - the experience is the landscape and beach, not the accommodation.
Extended stays: The Vedana Lagoon is appropriate for 2β3 nights if you want a peaceful coastal retreat with national park access. The townβs limited restaurant scene means the resortβs on-site dining becomes important.
Booking: Lang Co has no significant booking platform concentration. Walk-in is fine for guesthouses outside Vietnamese holidays. The Vedana requires advance booking.
Eating near accommodation
Lang Co has a limited restaurant scene. The lagoon seafood restaurants are the main dining option - grilled prawns, fresh fish, and clams at β«100,000β250,000 ($4β10) per person as of 2026. The town has a few basic Vietnamese restaurants serving pho and rice dishes at β«30,000β50,000 ($1.20β2). For extended stays, the Vedanaβs on-site dining becomes important as town options are limited.
Lagoon-side eating: The cluster of seafood restaurants on the lagoon road between the highway bridge and the beach are the best dining option in town. Look for live tank prawns and clams sold by weight - approximately β«80,000β150,000 ($3.20β6) per 500g as of 2026. Local fishermen sell directly to the restaurants each morning, so seafood is fresh.
When to stay in Lang Co
Best season: March to September. The central coast has its own wet season pattern - October and November bring the most rainfall and the occasional typhoon track passes through the area. January and February are cool and dry but the sea can be rough. The peak beach season is June to August.
Avoiding crowds: Lang Co sees significant Vietnamese domestic tourism on weekends from Hue and Da Nang (both 90 minutes away). Weekday visits and stays are noticeably quieter. During school holidays (JuneβAugust), the budget guesthouses fill quickly.
Packing notes for Lang Co
The town has no pharmacy or ATM - bring enough cash and any medication needed. The nearest ATM is at Lang Co train station or the town on Highway 1. Mobile phone signal is good. The Vedana Lagoon has wifi; guesthouses in town have mixed reliability on internet access.
Getting here
By train: Lang Co station is on the Reunification Express line. Trains from Hue approximately 1 hour, from Da Nang 30β40 minutes. Tickets β«30,000β80,000 ($1.20β3.20) as of 2026.
By motorbike: The Hai Van Pass old road from Hue (50km, 1.5 hours with stops) or Da Nang (40km, 1 hour) - one of Vietnamβs most scenic roads.
By bus: HueβDa Nang buses can drop at Lang Co. β«50,000β100,000 ($2β4) as of 2026.
How many nights
1 night (standard for transit): Sufficient for the beach, a lagoon seafood dinner, and the Hai Van Pass ride in either direction.
2 nights (recommended): Allows a full day at Bach Ma National Park or Elephant Springs in addition to the beach and pass experience. The pace of Lang Co rewards an extra day - this is a place to slow down rather than rush through.
