About The Vietnam Guides
Vietnam stretches over 1,650 kilometres from the Chinese border to the Mekong Delta, crossing three distinct climate zones along the way. Planning a trip here means dealing with wildly different weather patterns, transport systems, and regional cultures depending on where and when you go. We built The Vietnam Guides to make that planning process easier.
North to south, in detail
We cover the full length of the country: the mountains and terraced valleys of the north, the imperial cities and beaches of the central coast, and the rivers and islands of the south. For each region, we write about getting around, what things cost, and which experiences are genuinely worth your time — with honest assessments rather than blanket enthusiasm.
Going past the standard circuit
Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Hoi An, Ho Chi Minh City — these are on every itinerary for good reason, and we cover them thoroughly. But Vietnam has far more to offer. We write about places like Ha Giang, Phong Nha, Dalat, and the Mekong Delta with the same level of practical detail, because some of the country's best experiences happen away from the main tourist route.
How we keep the lights on
The Vietnam Guides uses affiliate links. When you book a tour or activity through one of our links, we receive a small commission. You don't pay anything extra. We only link to providers we'd book through ourselves, and affiliate partnerships never influence what we recommend. Full details: affiliate disclosure.
