Airport proximity is Da Nangβs biggest logistical advantage. The airport is 3km from the city centre and 5km from My Khe Beach. Grab from arrivals to My Khe runs $3 to $5 (around 15 minutes). This removes the long transfer issue that makes Hoi An (30km from the airport) more logistically complicated for late arrivals.
Best months to visit are February to May: dry season, lower humidity, sea temperatures warm enough for swimming. June to August is hot and can be humid but has the most reliable beach weather. October and November bring the highest rainfall and occasional typhoon risk β not the optimal time to book beachfront accommodation.
The beach vs. city question: For stays of one to three nights, the My Khe beachfront is the obvious choice. For stays of a week or more, An Thuong gives better value, quieter streets, and access to the local food scene without significantly reducing beach access.
