Best Neighbourhoods for Digital Nomads

An Thuong (My An ward) - The nomad heartland. Quiet streets, multiple coworking spaces within walking distance, good cafe options, restaurants from ₫30,000–200,000 ($1.20–8). Beach access in under 10 minutes. Slightly more tourist-oriented than other Da Nang areas but not overwhelmingly so.

Visa Situation

Vietnam does not have a digital nomad visa. The standard 90-day e-visa ($25 USD) is what most nomads use. Apply at evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn - processing takes 3–5 business days. Single or multiple entry options are available, though both grant a maximum 90 consecutive days.

For longer stays, the established approach is a border run - typically to Cambodia (bus from Da Nang to Hoi An, then to HCMC, then bus to Phnom Penh; or Laos from Da Nang via bus).
