Vietjet is opening its first direct links between Vietnam and the Philippines from 10 November 2026, adding three new international routes in one step.

The budget carrier will connect two Vietnamese gateways to two Philippine airports:

  • Ho Chi Minh City to Cebu (Mactan-Cebu International) - three round-trip flights per week
  • Hanoi to Cebu - three round-trip flights per week
  • Ho Chi Minh City to Clark (Clark International Airport, Pampanga) - three round-trip flights per week

Until now, travellers moving between Vietnam and the Philippines faced connections through Manila or regional hubs, adding cost and time to otherwise short-haul journeys. The new routes put direct flying within reach for the first time on a scheduled basis.

What the routes open up

The two Cebu routes serve the Visayas, making it easier to combine a Vietnam trip with Bohol, Siargao or the diving and beach clusters around Cebu. Clark, located in Pampanga north of Manila, is a practical gateway to northern Luzon, including the Cordillera highlands and Bataan, and tends to operate with lower airport fees than the capital.

For travellers based in the south of Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City is the more natural connection point. Hanoi has fewer outbound options to Southeast Asia beyond its existing network, so the Cebu route adds a genuinely new destination pairing.

Fares and booking

Vietjet has not confirmed ticket prices for these routes. As a low-cost carrier, launch fares are typically competitive, particularly for advance purchases. Check the Vietjet website directly when sales open closer to the November 10 start date.
