Bamboo Airways Suspends All Scheduled Flights in August 2026

Bamboo Airways has suspended all scheduled commercial flights effective 1 August 2026, with the airline’s final scheduled service set for 22 August. The collapse follows the imprisonment of founder Trinh Van Quyet for fraud and the broader unravelling of parent company FLC Group.

Who Is Affected

Any passenger holding a Bamboo Airways reservation on a domestic or international service in August 2026 is affected. Routes that have been removed from the booking engine include:

  • Domestic: Hanoi (HAN), Ho Chi Minh City (SGN), Da Nang (DAD), and all regional airports
  • International: All Bamboo international services, including routes to South Korea and Japan

If you have a Bamboo Airways booking — whether made directly, through a travel agent, or via an OTA — treat it as cancelled.

How to Rebook

Bamboo Airways has said refunds are being processed, but wait times are extended due to the volume of affected bookings. For immediate travel needs:

  • Vietnam Airlines is the primary alternative for all major domestic routes and international connections
  • VietJet Air operates most domestic routes including the high-frequency Hanoi–Ho Chi Minh City corridor
