Vietjet Air resumed five domestic routes to Lien Khuong International Airport in Da Lat on 19 August 2026, restoring direct air access to Vietnamβs Central Highlands city after a period of suspension.
The carrier reinstated services connecting Da Lat with Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Haiphong, and Can Tho. The return of multi-frequency services means visitors can now fly direct into Da Lat from any of Vietnamβs major aviation hubs, cutting out lengthy overland connections.
Why this matters for visitors
Da Lat sits at 1,500 metres in Lam Dong Province and its cool climate sets it apart from the lowland cities β particularly welcome in August, when the rest of Vietnam is at peak heat and humidity. Average daytime temperatures in Da Lat stay around 18β22Β°C year-round, making it a popular escape for both Vietnamese and international visitors.
Before the suspension, many travellers arrived by overnight sleeper bus from Ho Chi Minh City (roughly 6β7 hours) or via connecting domestic legs. With Vietjet back on the route, the journey from Hanoi is under two hours and from Ho Chi Minh City under 90 minutes.
Airport transfers and arrival
Lien Khuong Airport sits 28 kilometres south of Da Latβs city centre. Shared shuttle buses and pre-booked airport transfers cover the route in 30β40 minutes, with options available from the arrival hall. Grab and private car hire are also available at the terminal.
What to do in Da Lat
The city is best known for its flower farms, strawberry plantations, French colonial architecture, and the Langbiang Mountain plateau above the town. It is also one of Vietnamβs emerging digital-nomad bases, with a strong cafe culture and reliable coworking options.
