The Miss World 2026 Grand Finale takes place in Nha Trang on 5 September, making Vietnam the host country for one of the worldβs most-watched international beauty pageants. It is the first time the event has been held in Southeast Asia since Miss World 2013 in Bali, and the first time it comes to Vietnam.
What Is Happening in Nha Trang
The final evening show is scheduled for 5 September, but the pageantβs programme extends over several weeks, with contestants arriving in late August for cultural visits, charity activities, and preliminary competitions held around Vietnam. The Grand Finale broadcast is expected to reach television audiences across more than 140 countries.
Nha Trang was selected as the venue partly for its established conference and event infrastructure β the city hosts international hotel brands and a convention centre capable of staging large-format productions β and partly for the visual backdrop of Nha Trang Bay, one of the most photogenic coastlines in Southeast Asia.
Impact on Visitors in Nha Trang Around 5 September
Travellers in Nha Trang around the time of the finale should expect:
- Higher occupancy at hotels in and around the beach strip and TrαΊ§n PhΓΊ corridor
- Some road closures or restricted access near venue areas during event days
- More visible international press and production crews in the city centre
Hotels in the centre of Nha Trang have been heavily booked since the hosting announcement. If you are visiting between 1 and 7 September and have not yet confirmed accommodation, check availability as early as possible. Properties slightly further from the beach strip β in the northern residential areas or around Hon Chong β may still have availability at competitive rates.
Visiting Nha Trang Around the Event
Nha Trang is worth visiting regardless of the pageant. The bay offers excellent snorkelling and diving, the islands are accessible by boat in 20β40 minutes, and the city has a good range of seafood restaurants along the waterfront. Our guide to best tours in Nha Trang covers day trips, water activities, and the most reliable operators for boat trips to the offshore islands.
If you are planning to visit specifically to attend a public broadcast event or the surrounding festivities, watch Vietnamese tourism authority channels for confirmed public viewing arrangements closer to the date. Official ticketed access to the finale itself is separate and handled by the pageant organisers.
